Player Difficulty is a separate stat from Player Level. Player Difficulty governs the cost side of the game:

• The cost of Lifestyle Bills
• The cost of Legal Fees

Player Difficulty rises as you accumulate more cash, keeping the difficulty curve in step with your wealth so the game stays challenging as you grow your fortune. Player Level, by contrast, governs the reward side (Go bonus, Wheel cash, investment stake amounts).
